Day One – Future of the left

August 1st 2013. This is my first day as a member of the Clearleft team.

I have been here in what will soon be know as the old office since mid-February. My first assignment was assisting Harry Brignull on quite a challenging project which appealed to his making right of dark patterns. Since then I have helped out at Responsive Day Out, UX London and Ampersand Conf.

At the same time, Rich Rutter, Paul Robert Lloyd and I have created an intranet for an entirely new way of working together in the scientific community for the Francis Crick Institute, assisted Ben Sauer and James Bates on the future of digital publishing for an established car magazine and came up with a quick idea on how we could promote our autumn internship scheme.

The rest of this year is booked out already. Our new home at 68 Middle Street, Brighton will be Christened during the Brighton Digital Festival where we will be host to a number of digital artists throughout September before we all move into our new space come October.

I’m just tidying around the edges of a site to present 68 Middle Street to the digital community and intend to have it live next week.

Here’s to growth, cheers!
